Senior Scientist, DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology

Description:
As a Senior Scientist in DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology, you will:
-
Be a critical member of the Nonclinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology (NDCP) organization and play a key role as a functional lead in project core teams.

Collaborate, align and influence cross-functional teams to identify and resolve key project questions related to DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology.
-
Design, conduct, and manage in vitro and in vivo ADME, PK and PK/PD studies in-house or at contract research organizations (CROs).
-
Formulate strategy and oversee the design and implementation of clinical pharmacology studies.
-
Perform human PK projection and be responsible for translational modeling to support clinical schedule optimization.

Draft clinical pharmacology components of protocols, investigator’s brochures and other regulatory documents.

Identify and manage collaboration with CROs, consultants and academic collaborators.

Develop high-quality protocols and maintain detailed documentation of procedure and data to comply with internal standard operating procedures and other quality criteria, where necessary.
Qualifications/Experience:
-
A Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacokinetics, Drug Metabolism, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience in supporting small molecule drug discovery and development.

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in LC/MS/MS, ADME and PK/PD study design, data analysis and interpretation.

Knowledge of the latest technological and regulatory advances in the field of DMPK, clinical pharmacology and modeling/simulation.

Experience in representing the DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology function in project teams and building strong working relationship with peers and cross-functional partners to enable high team performance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated capability to manage and mentor junior scientists.

Thrives in a collaborative team setting and is driven by a desire to be innovative in a high energy, small company environment.
