The Opportunity

 

The Company is seeking to hire an Associate Scientist in support of small molecule and biomarker bioanalysis efforts within the DMPK group. The successful candidate will work closely with DMPK/Bioanalysis and Biomarker scientists, develop LC-MS/MS methods and quantitate drug candidates, metabolites and biomarkers from in vitro and in vivo samples.

 

Responsibilities

 

Develop and qualify fit-for-purpose LC-MS/MS assays; maintain LC-MS/MS systems
Perform bioanalysis of small molecules and biomarkers in various biological matrices including plasma, urine, CSF, and tissues
Work with novel biotherapeutic analytes and contribute to development of hybrid ligand binding (immunocapture) mass spectrometry methods and analyses
Work with DMPK scientists to develop assays to support in vitro ADME and PK studies
Interpret data, write scientific reports, review and QC incoming data from CROs, and communicate bioanalysis results to other scientists and project teams



Qualifications/Experience:

Requirements

 

  • BS/MS in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Drug Metabolism, Pharmacokinetics, or related scientific discipline; with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of biotech/pharmaceutical or CRO experience.
  • Hands-on experience with various sample preparation techniques (protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction, and solid-phase extraction), chromatographic separation, and operation of triple-quadrupole mass spectrometers is required.
  • Working knowledge of quantitative bioanalytical principles, with GLP/GCP regulated assay experience preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other scientists on cross-functional Project Teams.
  • Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills.
