Description:
Alturas Analytics, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Scientist I who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time position with ample opportunities for growth and promotion in our highly progressive laboratory.
The Scientist I is responsible for method development, method validation, analysis of samples, and generation of data and other applicable documentation
Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Develops and validates methods in accordance with procedures, regulations, and guidelines
- Analyzes samples and generates data and reports in accordance with procedures, regulations, and guidelines
- Maintains and evaluates laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting and repair of LCMS/MS and GC-MS/MS analyzers
- Prepares test methods and other laboratory equipment procedures
- Provides quality control review of data and reports generated by other personnel
Qualifications/Experience:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) with 0-2 years work experience or a Bachelors degree in a physical, biological, or chemistry science or related field with 2-3 years of work experience
- Work experience in a bioanalytical and/or chemistry laboratory
Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Skills in laboratory techniques and procedures
- Skills in verbal and written communication
- Skills in problem solving towards meeting client deadlines
- Ability to function effectively in stressful situations
- Ability to travel occasionally for professional development
